Barney is a 1 year old male beagle mix. He is neutered and completely up to date on all vet care. Barney weighs approximately 30 pounds and is full grown. However, he may gain a few more pounds as he fills out in the next couple of years.
Barney is simply a sweet little fellow. He is kind-hearted and enjoys human companionship immensely. He loves meeting people and is good with children and adults. Barney is good with other dogs, but will be overwhelmed by a dog that is too big of a playmate for him. He would do best with a dog that is sized around the same as he is. He will make a very good play partner for another dog. Currently Barney shares his foster home with other dogs and one cat, and is excellent with all of them.
Barney attended a leash walking class in January. He is a wonderful student and trains well - he is smart and learns things quickly.
Barney likes to cuddle next to you and enjoys sitting and taking treats nicely. We are working on his jumping up, the occasional counter surfing, the occasional tearing of a pillow or comforter, and he does like to lick your face a lot.
Barney is a great boy who deserves a wonderful home where he has lots of people to receive comfort and love from.
